Description of Pilates Classes at Los Ranchos de Albuquerque Studio
Advanced reservations are required for full classes. Pilates Classes are all conducted barefoot. Please bring your own mat for classes; limited mats are available for new students only.
Private Pilates sessions with an instructor prior to entering a class are strongly encouraged.
Please arrive 5 minutes before scheduled class start time.

Pilates Matwork - Levels I, I/II and II
Pilates I involves Pilates fundamentals and Level I & II Matwork exercises. All levels welcome.
Pilates II is a more advanced class and will involve Matwork exercises through Level IV. Instructor approval required.
Mixed I/II Pilates is a multi-level workout, and may use props. All levels welcome.

Wunda Chair / Mat Combo
Considered to be the most challenging piece of Pilates equipment in terms of building strength in the legs and shoulders. Great for skiers, runners, tennis players, golfers and for clients looking to increase power in the upper body for throwing, lifting, racquet sports or overall fitness! Combined with the traditional matwork series this class is an experience you will not forget. Class limited to 8 participants.

Pilates / Yoga Fusion
Experience all the healing benefits of Pilates and Yoga in one invigorating workout. Improve flexibility and balance, enhance circulation, build strength and increase stamina. You will be lead through a series of yoga postures linked together through breath and vinyasa, followed by classical Pilates Matwork and a soothing deep relaxation. All levels welcome.

This unique and challenging class combines resistance training, Pilates, yoga and meditation for a total body workout. Free weights, balls, bands and magic circles may be used.

GYROKINESIS®
GYROKINESIS® exercises allow one to work on the entire body through seven natural elements of spinal movement: forward, backward, left side, right side, left twist, right twist and circular, as well as all other joint articulation. This approach systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating movements. These movements stimulate the body's internal organs while different corresponding breathing patterns are integrated along with the movements.
